JADEtribe started its journey in a small weaving village in Laos in 2008, where naturally organic dyes were being combined with traditional craft to produce bright and colourful textiles. The brand decided to employ the village’s artisans, and began producing luxury bags and accessories, ensuring fair wages and working conditions were provided. Since it’s launch, JADEtribe now works with artisans from all over South East Asia, bringing an opportunity for the local people to boast their economies and provide for their families. Whether it’s a handbag repurposed from hand embroidered baby carrier cloths, or their hand braided jewellery, each element of JADEtribe carries with it a piece of the hearts of the women whose lives have been improved by making it.
