ABOUT THE BRAND
Indego Africa is a non-profit social enterprise and lifestyle brand that supports women in Rwanda and Ghana through economic empowerment and education. They’re partnered with a cooperative of over 1000 female artisans to sell their beautiful handcrafted products that celebrate the beauty of traditional African artistry while adding a playful and modern twist. Their products are all designed in New York, and the profits are reinvested back into the artisans’ communities, through leadership, entrepreneurship, financial, business and vocational training courses. Indego Africa believe that educating women is the key to long-term empowerment and social change, therefore through their programs, their partners develop the knowledge and skills they need to grow their own enterprises, become entrepreneurs, and uplift entire communities – creating employment opportunities for others and setting new standards for what women can achieve.
