Pala Eyewear

Pala Eyewear is a sustainable sunglasses brand who make frames from recycled plastics and water sachets.

Pala is partnered with international charity Vision Aid Overseas who are dedicated to fighting poverty by transforming access to eye care in developing countries. 640 million people – around 10% of the world’s population – are disadvantaged by poor vision, which in most cases can be solved by the right prescription glasses.

To create their unique cases, Pala work in partnership with Care4basket a Ghanaian nongovernmental organisation (NGO) running an initiative in Bolgatanga, Upper East Ghana. Working with artisans and weavers from deprived communities, they make traditional woven baskets – and now the cases for their sunglasses.
