Claire Fouché

Fouche was born out of a love of artistry, storytelling and craftsmanship by founder Claire Fouche. The brand’s design inspiration stems from modernist Italian architecture in East Africa; interpreted into bold sculptural cuffs and statement earrings and rings. The collection is carved by artisans in Nairobi from locally sourced Ankole cow horn and wood, and finished in London by master craftsmen using the finest metals and coloured gemstones from conflict-free mines around Africa. Fouche jewellery provides ongoing fair-trade employment to skilled artisans in Nairobi and Kibera, Africa’s largest slum. In 2012, Claire co-founded the Maisha foundation to support young talent from Kibera in skills training programs.
